MPBA PLAN:    For details re the Ontario colour-coded covid stages as they apply to sports and recreation see the COVID STAGES section of our web site.

1.      Grey Stage:

a.      Preliminary Survey of Interest. Under the REGISTRATION tab on the MPBA web site, go to  REGISTRATION SURVEY 2021. Follow the link provided, complete and submit.

b.      No fees will be charged at this time.

c.       Your response will help us in planning for the next stages and will ensure that you are contacted directly via e mail as soon as those plans are set.

d.      COACHES: Please indicate your interest in being a head coach or an assistant coach. We cannot offer any programming without the help of our volunteer coaches.

2.      Red Stage:

a.      A fee will be established to cover costs of field rental equipment etc.

b.      A schedule for practices will be established and posted to the web site.

c.       A clinic for all coaches will be delivered by the MPBA executive. This will be MANDATORY for all MPBA coaches. The clinic will cover not only baseball basics and practice planning, but also covid protocols which must be followed as set out by Baseball Ontario.

d.      Parents/Players will be contacted with information on how to complete the registration process. This will include payment of the “Red Stage” fee and online completion of the various mandatory waiver forms.

e.      Skills and drills practices will commence as soon as possible for all players who have completed the registration process.

3.      Orange/Yellow Stage

a.      In conjunction with our umbrella organizations (South Simcoe Minor Baseball and York Simcoe Baseball Association), it is hoped that the 50 player bubbles will be established and that games will be scheduled as soon as possible after moving to this stage.

b.      An “Orange Stage” fee will be established for MPBA players in order to cover additional costs (umpires, uniforms, photos, league fees etc.).

c.       Parents/Players will again be contacted with payment details.

d.      Teams will be established (tryouts held for select teams if necessary).

 

We can only hope that things improve over the next few months to the point where the children of our community can get back to the activities they have been deprived of for so long. Our intention is to hope and plan for the best. Please help us by completing the REGISTRATION SURVEY 2021 and consider helping on the field too when the time comes.
